The San Leandro North Area Home and Garden
Tour committee regretfully announces that this years tour must
be canceled. For the past 20 years the Home & Garden Tour
Committee has worked diligently to obtain at least 6 homes
required for the tour to be successful and we were unable to do
so this year.
We would like to thank those homeowners who
were willing to put their homes on the tour this year and are
happy to say they have agreed to be part of the tour in 2013. It
has been this willingness and generosity by such homeowners and
volunteers alike that has allowed for the success of the Home
and Garden Tour and for that we thank you.
It is especially
disappointing that we will not be able to make a contribution to
the George Mark Children's House this year. George Mark has been
the recipient of the tour proceeds for the past three years.
George Mark Children's House, located in San Leandro, is the
first children's hospice house in the U.S. providing medical,
emotional and practical support to families with children that
have life-threatening and terminal illnesses.
George Mark is a non-profit organization that relies on
contributions from individuals and groups like the Home and
Garden Tour to continue to make a world of difference at the
most difficult time in the lives of families with ill children.
It would be wonderful if we could still help them this year . We
would like to urge everyone who is able, to make a contribution
to George Mark. Those who would like to contribute to this
